Sungwoo was born in Ulsan, South Korea, and has lived in San Diego since 2014. He currently works at the business development and investment arm of a pharmaceutical company. As a first generation immigrant and dad of a Korean American boy, he is also interested in bridging the gap between Korea-born immigrants and Korean American communities in San Diego. He has served on the board of directors of KAC-SD since 2018, and feels privileged to have had the opportunity to work with bright young Korean Americans.
